Richard Karlin
President
A Kiwanis member since 2022, Rick has served on the Board of Directors and the Scholarship and Auction Committees, and most recently as club vice president. A seasoned human resources professional, he held director- and vice president-level positions throughout his career. His volunteer leadership includes serving as chair of a Chamber of Commerce in the Chicago area. Locally, he has supported Bluffton Self Help, the Boys & Girls Club, and BackPack Buddies. Rick is a native of the Chicago metropolitan area.

Jeff Lake
Past President
Jeff has been in the Kiwanis Club of Bluffton since January, 2023. He has served on the Board of Directors. He is a native of Cleveland, Ohio, and has spent most of his career in Sales/Marketing and not-for-profit management. He’s active with the Boys and Girls Club of Bluffton, Meals on Wheels, and Low Country Legal Volunteers.
Wendy Barrett
President Elect
Wendy has been an active member for eight years. She has served on the board of directors and as the club’s Newsletter Editor for several years. A clinical dietitian with a master’s degree from Boston University and the University of New Hampshire, Wendy is actively involved with the Port Royal Sound Foundation Maritime Center, Read Indeed, and numerous other service projects.
Michael Yox
Vice President
Mike and his wife Judy have lived in Bluffton for 13 years and have been married for 44 years. They are originally from Maryland and have two adult children and two grandchildren. After a 6 year stint in the US Navy nuclear power program and service aboard a submarine, Mike spent his remaining working years in commercial nuclear power. He retired from Southern Company as the Regulatory Affairs Director at Vogtle Electrical Generating Plants 3&4, which were the first new nuclear plants built in the US in over 30 years. Mike and Judy enjoy cycling, hiking and RV camping.

Jim Kulach
Treasurer
Fifty year Kiwanian in March 2024. Buffalo native graduated from U. of Buffalo and MS from Niagara University and Graduate Degree from the Institute of Financial Education. Multiple terms as President, Secretary, Treasurer & board member over the years. Charter member Bluffton Kiwanis. Retired Executive in Banking industry in Buffalo, NY.
Phil Kiser
Secretary
Fifty-three plus year Kiwanian in Ohio and SC; four different clubs in OH & SC.Multiple terms as club President, Secretary, Lt Governor in both OH & SC., board member, Carolina District Trustee. Undergraduate degree from Grove City College. Graduate degree from The Ohio State University-Government/Public Administration. Bluffton Kiwanis Charter Member. Retired Parks and Recreation Director in Reynoldsburg, OH.
